What Topline does

Three bar types
A single message with an optional link, rotating messages shown one at a time, or a scrolling ticker. Place a bar at the top of the page or fixed at the bottom of the screen.
Templates to start from
Free shipping, shipping notices, sales, welcome discounts, Black Friday, holiday deadlines, new collections and pre-orders, plus rotating highlights and a scrolling ticker.
Scheduled in your timezone
Set a start and an end time in your store’s timezone, or leave them empty to show the bar until you turn it off.
Every page or only some
All pages, the home page, product, collection or cart pages, or only the pages you list, such as /collections/sale or /products/*.
Your colors and fonts
Choose the colors, font, weight, size, bar height and spacing, with a separate font size on mobile. A preview shows each change.
Accessible
A labelled close button, contrast warnings while you edit, rotation and scrolling that pause on hover and focus, and still bars for visitors who turn on reduced motion.

The bar is in place before the page first appears, so nothing jumps, and your theme’s sticky header keeps working.
No visitor tracking
No analytics, no cookies and no network requests from the bar. A closed bar is remembered only in the visitor’s browser tab.
How setup works
Three steps from install to a live bar.
Install Topline
Add the app to your store from the Shopify App Store.
Pick a template
Start from a template or from scratch, adjust the message, colors, pages and schedule, and save the bar.
Turn on the app embed
In the app’s setup guide, click Open theme editor. The “Announcement bar” app embed opens already switched on: click Save, and the bar is live.
No layout shift, no visitor tracking
The bar is in place before your page first appears, so nothing on the page jumps when it shows, and your theme’s sticky header keeps working. When you have no bar turned on, Topline adds nothing to your pages.
The bar is built from data already in your theme, and its script makes no network requests: no analytics, no view or click counting and no cookies. When a visitor closes a bar, only their browser tab remembers it, until the tab is closed.
Unless you remove it, the first bar on a page shows a small ShopOpsy icon. It is drawn in the page and is not a link, so it loads nothing either.

Pages with a bar show a small ShopOpsy icon, 24 × 24 px with no text and no link. A one-time charge of $10, approved in your Shopify admin, removes it for good on your store.

The bar is in place before the page first appears, so nothing on the page jumps when it shows. A top bar sits above your theme’s header and scrolls away with the page, so a sticky header keeps working. A bottom bar stays fixed at the bottom of the screen.
The bar’s script is printed into the page, so no script file is downloaded, and it makes no network requests. When you have no bar turned on, Topline adds nothing to your pages.
Can I schedule a bar?
Yes. Give a bar a start and an end time. Both are in your store’s timezone, which the editor shows next to the fields, so a sale that ends at midnight ends at midnight store time, wherever the visitor is. Leave both empty to show the bar right away and keep it until you turn it off.
Can I show a bar only on some pages?
Yes. Show a bar on all pages, the home page only, product pages, collection pages, the cart page, or specific pages. For specific pages, list one path per line, such as /collections/sale or /pages/about, and end a path with * to include every page below it: /products/* covers every product page. Language prefixes such as /fr are ignored, so a path also covers the other language versions of a page.
Does Topline track visitors or set cookies?
No. The bar uses no analytics, counts no views or clicks, sends no requests to ShopOpsy or anyone else, and sets no cookies. Topline stores no data about your customers or visitors.
When a visitor closes a bar, their browser keeps ab-closed: followed by the bar’s ID, with the value 1, in session storage. It contains no identifier, is never sent anywhere and disappears when the tab is closed. It only remembers the visitor’s request to close the bar.
