What Cookify takes care of
Tracker blocking, a banner styled to your theme, translations, country targeting and consent logs. Each card notes when a feature needs a paid plan.
Trackers wait for consent
Supported analytics, marketing and preference scripts, such as Google tags, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and Klaviyo, are held until the visitor allows that category.
Connected to Shopify
Every choice is passed to Shopify’s Customer Privacy API, so Shopify and apps that respect it follow the visitor’s decision.
Google Consent Mode v2
Send consent signals to Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads in basic mode, so your Google tags follow the visitor’s choice. Available on Advanced.
Fits your theme
Pick a box or bar layout, position, corners and text size in the theme editor. The banner uses your theme font by default.
Speaks your customers’ language
Add translations in 70 languages. Cookify drafts each translation for you, and you can edit every line. Available on Starter (up to 2 languages) and Advanced (unlimited).
Show it where it’s needed
Show the banner only in the countries you pick, such as EU and EEA countries and the UK. Available on Advanced.
Consent logs
Review recent consent choices with their date and time, action, categories and the visitor’s country. Filter by date, action or country. Available on Advanced.
Choices can be changed any time
Visitors can reopen their cookie settings at any time from a footer link or a small floating icon.

Choose the options visitors see and add links to your privacy policy and terms.
Turn on the app embed
Enable Cookify in your theme editor with one click. No theme code to edit.
Go live

Visitors decide, category by category
Customize opens a preferences panel. Optional categories start unchecked, and Cookify only releases the scripts a visitor allows.

Common questions
Setup, tracker blocking, Google and compliance. The full FAQ also covers billing and data.
Read the full FAQDoes Cookify block tracking scripts before consent?
Yes, for supported trackers that your theme or apps load with JavaScript. Cookify holds Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity until the visitor allows analytics. It holds Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Klaviyo, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads scripts until the visitor allows marketing, and Intercom and Zendesk chat until the visitor allows preferences. Google Tag Manager and gtag.js (used by Google Analytics 4) wait until the visitor allows both analytics and marketing. Script tags written directly into your theme code aren’t held, so load those through Google Tag Manager or Shopify’s Customer Events instead.
It also passes the choice to Shopify’s Customer Privacy API, so Shopify and apps that respect that API follow the same decision.
Do I need to edit my theme code?
No. Cookify runs as a theme app embed, which you switch on in the theme editor. Turning the embed off removes the banner completely, and your theme files are never changed.
What is Google Consent Mode v2 and do I need it?
Google Consent Mode v2 lets Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads know whether a visitor gave consent. Google asks for it if you advertise to or measure visitors in the EEA and UK.
On the Advanced plan you can turn on Consent Mode v2 (basic mode) under Integrations. Before your Google tags load, Cookify sets ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage, functionality_storage and personalization_storage to denied, or to the visitor’s saved choice if they already made one. When the visitor chooses, Cookify updates them: analytics controls analytics_storage, marketing controls the three ad signals and preferences controls the other two. If you use country rules, these defaults apply only in the countries you selected.
Does Cookify make my store GDPR compliant?
Cookify gives you the consent tools that privacy laws such as the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive expect. Known trackers are held until the visitor consents, and visitors can choose by category. Reject all sits next to Accept all on the first screen. It’s on by default, and the app warns you if you hide it. Visitors can change their choice later.
Compliance also depends on your privacy policy, the apps and tags you use, and how you configure the banner. Cookify isn’t legal advice, so check your setup with a legal professional if you’re unsure.
Need your policies written too?
The banner can link to your privacy policy and terms. If your store doesn’t have pages that match how it works, ShopOpsy can write them for you. One-time price, no subscription.
